Ever popular Turkey is a large country bridging the gap between Europe
and Asia. It's great weather and low cost of living (it's outside the
Eurozone) has seen it's popularity soar over the last 10 years, and with holiday
makers now more than ever wanting their money to stretch further, it once again is
generating high demand.
Despite the size of the country, Turkey’s most popular holiday resorts
lie in a 300 mile arc stretching from Izmir on the Aegean west coast to
Antalya on the Mediterranean.
Here you will find fabulous towns like Bodrum, Marmaris and Kalkan. Once
small fishing villages, they have spread out from their original harbours
to become sophisticated holiday resorts with hotels ranging from luxury
five star establishments with every conceivable facility, to delightfully
simple 1 and 2 star properties run by the owners and providing amazing
value for money along with a very warm welcome.
There are 3 different and distinct areas of Turkey for you to choose from
the Aegean coast, the Lycian coast and the Mediterranean coast.
Antalya holidays take place in resorts amongst others like Belek and
Side, Alanya and Kemer which features long stretches of golden sands and
have a goodselection of historical sites.
Bodrum
Is one of the prettiest resorts on the Aegean. This cosmopolitan resort
has a vibrant nightlife, as does its sister resort, Gumbet.
Dalaman
Is found on the Mediterranean coast with resorts like Marmaris , a town
surrounded by stunning scenery, boasting plenty of bars and clubs as well
as Turkey's largest marina.
Turkey's third city, Izmir
A centre of commerce yet is surrounded by some of the most magnificent
coastline in Turkey. Ozdere and Kusadasi holidays are perfect if you want a
small traditional Turkish resort with a sand and shingle beach.
Turkey also has plenty of waterparks.
