Cheap holidays to Lanzarote

This volcanic island is the ideal holiday destination what ever time of year you plan to holiday here with the sun shining almost year round. There is a resort here for everyone so no matter what age group you fall into there will be something on Lanzarote for you, even if it's just the weather or the fact that there are no high rised tower scrapers making an ugly blot on the landscape,(this been down to local building restrictions).

The clean unspoilt beaches are a haven for anyone just wanting to escape and relax making it a sun worshippers paradise and all of them offer something different, Playa Blanca which in my estimation is the best family resort on the island has 3 safe sandy beaches, while Puerto Del Carmens' beach is a long curving expanse of golden sands which offers a small selection of water sports, the best watersport selection can be found in Costa Teguise or Matagorda which is very popular for windsurfing.
For familys any of the resorts here are favourable although Puerto Del Carmen is by far the livliest, head here for a night out if cocktail bars, nightclubs and music bars are on your agenda. The nightlife is pretty low key in Playa de los Pocillos, Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca with only a handful of bars, restaurants and the occaisonal karaoke bar.

If heading for a nightclub is off bounds for you then your night out may consist of a pleasant meal in a local restaurant and there are plenty of good value for money options to choose from with Italian, Chinese, English and of course excellent local dishes such as 'mojo' a spicey dish made with the local canarian potatoe or maybe a tasty hot fish salad served with the local tipple of hot sweet honey rum.

Car hire is very popular and makes a great alternative from booking a trip with your hotel rep if you want to get out and see what Lanzarote has to offer at your own pace. Take in the amazing lunar like landscape where Plant of the apes was filmed, or stiking with the volcanic theme a visit to the National park of Timanfaya or Fire mountain as it is locally known is a spectacular experience, camels will take you up to the top where you can view the craters or sample food freshly cooked on the heat that omits from this volcanoe. One for all the family and the ideal way to cool off means taking a trip to Aquapark at Costa Teguise, the water here is not heated so you really do get to keep cool in the array of pools, dare devil water chutes and thrilling flumes.
