This tropcial paradise is one of the top holiday destinations in the world and renoun for its excellent sailing conditions which are due to the amazing trade winds, making it the obvious choice for many top rank sailing events every year.

Many of the hotels on Antigua offer all inclusive holidays, which in my opinion can often mean that people do not experience the true Caribbean way of life or culture, but it is still the most popular type of holiday choice on the island. Dickinson Bay has a varied choice of accomodation to offer and is the main tourist spot where you will find huge luxurious hotels, apartment complex's and traditional beach bars. For something a little more exclusive head for English Bay, home to the yatch crowd and private villas many of which are set on their own secluded stretch of fine white sands. Children are well catered for in a number of the larger hotels and adults are equally well catered for with some excellent relaxing spa facilites on offer.

A trip to one of the many stunning beaches is the obvious way to while away your days but it would be a shame to come to this pretty part of the world and not take part in some of the fun excursions it has to offer. Try your hand at big game fishing and reel in blue marlin, barracuda and many other big game fish that can be found in these azure clear waters, visit stingray city where you can feed these greaceful creatures in their natual environment then snorkel the amazing coral reefs full of colourful fish of every shape and size.

Much of the nightlife is centred around going out to one of the many amazing restuarants where you can dine on tasty caribbean delights then be entertained by a variety of different styles of music.

There are obviously chinese, pizza and the obligatory indian food outlets but it would be a shame to come to the caribbean and not savour the local fayre and excellent fresh seafood on offer.
