Think Ibiza and party animals, nightclubs which are open all day and all night and outrageous fashion parades lead by all every gender imaginable spring to mind, but there is much much more that this island has to offer making it this a fantastic holiday destination for old and young alike. The best family resorts are to be found in the North and East of the island which are a complete contrast to its lively neighbours, the coastline is also diverse with everything from rocky coves to long sweeping sandy beaches. Home to several blue flag beaches, you will never be far from a secluded sandy cove or a golden stretch of fine white sands, most of which offer a huge variety of watersports such as snorkelling, windsurfing and surfing.
The best known spot on the island has to be San Antonio, world famous for top class DJ's, all night partying and a nightclubs such as Cafe Del Creme, Amnesia and Pacha making it the 18 - 30 capital of Ibiza, although Ibiza Town is a close second if you're looking for non stop action.

Playa Den Bossa is the nearest resort to the airport so you can sometimes expericence aircraft noise, but the longest beach on the island more than makes up for this, although it has got a couple of big clubs it also caters for families offering a huge choice of English style bars and places to eat.

A complete contrast has to be Santa Eulalia which is truely cosmopolitan or Es Cana which althought it has become one of the largest of Ibizas resorts still retains much of its origonal character with quaint whitewashed houses overlooking the pretty harbour, the beach is also worth a visit and has life guards on patrol making it the ideal place to take your kids.

Eating out is quite Spanish in style, paella or delicious spanish omelette are on many menus and with the abundance of fresh fish there are many variations from which to choose and a range of settings in which to eat them. There are plenty of international restaurants and for those wanting good home from home cooking there are plenty cafe bars where you will favouries such as fish and chips or a full English breakfast.

A visit to the famous hippy market is definatley worth a visit, held every Wednesday on the outskirts of Santa Eulalia, step back in time to the 1970's where you can hunt for souvineers to take home such as exotic batik wraps, leather goods and intricate silver jewellery. A great way to see the picturesque landscapes of Ibiza is by the tourist train, a fun family excursion, don't forget your camera. Another great way to spend the day is at the Aguamar waterpark in Playa Den Bossa, it has a great variety of curvy slides, lots of pools and is a real fun day out for all age groups.
