Head for one of the many pretty beaches all of which differ dependant on which part of Italy you are visiting, you will find tiny pebbled beaches in Sorrento or over 6 miles of soft golden sands in the popular tourist spot of Jesolo which has become a magnet for water sport enthusiasts and sunworshippers.
Eating out definatly becomes a major factor of any holiday in Italy and is renowned world over for its fine cuisine and is also one of the worlds largest producers of wine. You would have to look very hard to find a bad restaurant in Italy and there are many styles of eatery from cheap and cheerfull to the smart and sophisticated, which ever you choose I can guarantee you will not be dissapointed.
Most meals consist of 3 or 4 courses which should be savoured and enjoyed, mealtimes here are a leisurley affair meant to be enjoyed. Crispy Italian pizza is always on the menu along with a range of pasta dishes accompanied by spicy tomato sauce, risotto is served in a variety of forms along with a wide selection of various sea foods. The light sweet dessert of Tiramisu is the ideal way of ending your meal, with one of the many excellent local wines.
Shopping in Italy is an experience in itself, you don't have to look far to come across a famous designer store, many of the big name fashion houses such as Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Armarni and Prada line the streets, rubbing shoulders with chic boutiques selling good quality leather shoes and fashion accessories.
The nightlife in Italy can be busy, but is definatly low key, there are pubs,clubs and discos on offer in many resorts, Rimini been the busiest.
